Video embeds (click-to-load). Some Showcases include a video hosted on YouTube or Vimeo. These embeds are click-to-load: the page shows only a placeholder that names the provider, and no cookie is set and no request reaches YouTube or Vimeo until you click play on that specific video. When you do click, the provider's player loads for that video in that session — your IP address and device details reach the provider, and it may set its own cookies under its own privacy and cookie policies. We use the privacy-enhanced options each provider offers (youtube-nocookie.com; Vimeo's Do-Not-Track player mode). Your click applies only to the video you clicked — it is not stored as a site-wide consent, which is why these providers do not appear in the consent banner's categories.
A note on the Base44 platform. Showcase Deck is built and hosted on Base44. Base44 injects its own platform-level analytics (including a Mixpanel cookie under a different token, observed on the base44.app domain) to measure use of the Base44 platform. This is set and controlled by Base44 as the platform operator, under Base44's own privacy and cookie policies — we do not set, read, control, or consent-gate it. Separately, we also send our own product-analytics events (the same ones we send to Mixpanel) to Base44's first-party analytics for our app; unlike the platform analytics above, these are under our control and are consent-gated like Mixpanel — collected only after you opt in to Analytics, and kept within our Base44 app.
04Your choices and our consent banner
On your first visit you will see a cookie banner. In line with EU ePrivacy and GDPR rules:
- No non-essential cookies fire until you opt in — Analytics (and any future Preferences/Marketing cookies) stay off until you choose Accept all or enable them.
- The banner offers "Accept all" and "Reject optional" at equal prominence, plus "Manage" for per-category control.
- You can change or withdraw your choices at any time via the "Cookie settings" option — in the site's bottom navigation, at the top of this Cookie Policy, and in the Legal Center.
